Grandma Nancy

Some of you may remember I posted about my Grandma Nancy a few months ago. She has gone through radiation treatment and after that chemo. Things are going, not good. I don't know. I don't want to be negative and not be hopeful.
My mom has been taking her to chemo and my Grandpa has been by her side 24 hours a day. He's taking really good care of her. It's really an amazing thing to see, really. She is his world. It's great seeing two people take care of each other like that. She took such good care of him when he was going through cancer. He beat it, now he's able to take care of her. I know it's so hard for both of them. So it's unfair to even think it's hard on me.

When my Mom and I went to see them last week there were 2 chairs in the room. My Grandpa INSISTED I take one of the seats. For crying out loud, I'm 32 years old. I can stand. He was having none of it. "I'm not going to sit while ladies stand." GENTLEMAN! My Grandpa is truly a gentleman. I sat. He made me! I felt like such a jerk, but my Grandpa is a brat like that. The most lovable little brat you could ever hope to meet.

I'm glad that my Grandpa found such a wonderful woman to spend his life with. Grandma Nancy and him are a wonderful team. They're a great example of what love and marriage is all about. I hope hope hope for the most hopeful of outcomes.

Does Gma Nancy read your blog? If she doesn't I bet she'd love it. I hope she knows how much she means to you - I'm sure she does. Sending good thoughts to all of you. (Try not to feel guilty that it's hard on you. That's what happens when we love people. Sometimes it just hurts.) xoxo
