A couple weeks ago my friend Maureen told me she was going to make me a one of a kind rat bowl. Obviously I was pumped! Remember the Hoarder that won us all over? Glen the man that taught us that rat kings can be lovable. Well, that's where the rat bowl idea was born! And Maureen was going to make me a piece of her awesome pottery. I don't know how I got so lucky to have such amazing friends, but I'm very grateful.
Maureen is pretty much totally awesome. She is a ballerina, drummer, potter, painter, mother, wife, teacher, all around bad ass and . . . she's just an all around artist! You should go read her blog. See all her art. Read her stories. She's lived quite the life! I'm always finding out something new and awesome about Maureen. Her and her husband George are a riot! I got a Valentine from them with my head on the end of a heart valve! You have GOT TO love people that think of something like that for Valentine's Day!
My Glen bowl arrived today and I was in awe when I opened the package. I knew it would be great, but I could never imagine it would be this great.
Look how sweet he is! He just wants a little bit of cereal. A couple bites.
How amazing is that? Glen is perfect! He's my new pet. You can even see his muscles holding him up on the bowl and his pink tail. Those are the kinds of details Maureen puts into her work. She did a painting of penguins you can see on her blog. Maureen never half asses anything. She's a force of nature.
It's for ME! YAY!!
Me and my new buddy eating some Froot Loops. I look slightly evil. That's my cereal eating face.
Thank you sooo much Maureen! I love it! You are super awesome!
The evening also included wine. It's Scott's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SCOTT! I purchased this for the label. The label sold me some good wine.
