If you read my previous post you see I was feeling like a curmudgeon and to help stave off the grump I posted a pic of a young lady I taught the metal sign. Then I took to the BABB blog and posted a picture of myself giving the metal sign.
What followed is why I love these people.
StevO posted these pics he took of a 100 MILE race. (100 MILES!?) Whenever this dude went by he gave Stevo some friendly hand gestures. He takes some amazing pictures and he gives awesome tips along the way. You learn right along with him. He's also funny as our my other BABB pals. I think it's one of our rules.
Next was Gary. Gary is a potter. He and his wife reside in Ithaca. I have talked about Gary so hopefully you have been paying attention to me. Gary is so great! He's one of my main go-to guys. Robot mugs, dudes!
Then one of my new most favorite people Kerry posted some metal pics. Kerry is so hilarious! She's another Ithacan. Awesomeness abounds in Ithaca. I get insanely excited to see when she updates her blog. Everyone go read it. You'll crack up. And she not only posted a picture of herself, but also her ugglie wugglie friend, Walter. I heart her.
The next person who took the metal challenge was Jill. She's a fellow Iowan and a photographer. We have yet to meet, but turns out Scott and her husband have played hockey together! If either of us attended hockey regularly we may have met each other by now. As you can see she totally rocked the metal sign. She's even got a metal face to match! Way to go, Jill!
And then Maureen came in and rocked all of our argyle socks off! She's got her drum sticks, a hat made by her granddaughter and a sock monkey clinging to her pocket. And she's doing it all in her pottery studio. Maureen has some of the most amazing stories EVER. She lives in the wilds of Wisconsin.
The following photograph just straight up BLEW MY MIND. I swear I smiled for 10 minutes straight upon seeing it and you will too. STEVO AGAIN! Now I'm smiling again. This could be my new go-to photograph when feeling like a bummer.
And now! The gorgeous Ms. India. She is BABB member Lizzie's daughter. She's a punk rocker and artist herself. Lizzie is a potter and works in fabrics and she's just totally great. Go read her blog, look at her stuff. They live up on an island in Canada. Ask her about Lick A Chick!
Thank you so much everybody. Who knew a devil horn pic could domino into such fun.
