Mom + Dad Hit the Road

I've said it before, my parents are cooler than me. Not that being cooler than me is any huge accomplishment. You know, maybe I should say my parents are cooler than most people. That's better. I'm sorry for even using myself as a comparison, Mom and Dad.

They are on a road trip right now. They haven't had a vacation all on their own in forever. (They've gone to Vegas for a weekend, but Vegas isn't a vacation.) So last Thursday they hit the road for Colorado. Then they decided, "We may as well go to Wyoming while we're out." So they go to Wyoming. Hit up Yellowstone. Now they're just hanging out there for a couple of days and will make their way home through South Dakota. The only reservation they made before leaving was a rental car. They also forgot to pack a camera for their last minute road tripping, but I insisted they at least pick up a disposable camera.

My Mom says they are taking whatever scenic roads they can find and doing whatever they want.

Here's a picture of Dad my mom sent to me. The caption she sent was, "Daddy O."

Here's my Daddy O.

That's awesome!... and by far the best kind of road trip... unplanned and open. :)

That's an awesome way to travel! The back roads really are the best ones.

I love that kind of travel! Do you know they have tour buses etc that you sign up for that just take you to a mystery location? I love that too...but your parent's is better because it's all by themselves. Cool Daddy-o.

Tour bus mystery location!? That would be pretty cool. Unless you ended up somewhere awful and then they just shouted "SUCKERS!" at you. I doubt that happens though.

My Mom said they've seen more than they've ever seen during our family vacations. (We used to go to Yellowstone and Glacier Park every year.) They have seen 2 rattle snakes.

Hello! Visiting from She-says.org!

I think I'd get along well with your parents (at least their traveling style).

Good to meetcha! I'll have a look around!
