Kyle Wayne is Getting Old Overseas

Today is my baby brother Kyle’s birthday. 23. What an old man. I sent him a package WEEKS AGO containing all sorts of things a man his age wants. Cosmo magazine, DVDs, candy, canned fruit. Exciting things like that. OH and a card with a photo of the woman I think invented VD. Well he hasn’t gotten it yet. Pull yourselves together mail unit!

Today I was discussing boy’s wearing jewelry. Normal Monday conversation and it made me think of one of Kyle’s birthday gifts when he was younger. My Uncle Mike made Kyle a little treasure map. It took us all around 1/4 of our block. It was so much fun. My uncle had buried all sorts of “treasures” for Kyle in a ball jar. Weird coins, jewelry, loads of awesomeness. Just found items that were 100x better than any gift anyone could have purchased. The gift of adventure. Kyle wore all the jewelry at once the rest of the day. He was like a little 8 year old pimp. So cute. Note: Once you’re an adult the pimp look isn’t cute, not even on Halloween. That’s free advice. You’re welcome.

Your baby brother is fortunate to have such a lovely sister back home Kasey.

When I grew up in Belgian suburbia
my older brother moved to Southern France, enjoying the fast paced, jet-setting lifestyle of the happy few.

He actually once sent me a local bottle from Saint-Tropez, which arrived opened, and empty. To this very day he claims that underpaid, bored and wino Belgian postal workers must have drunk it.

Give my regards to your baby brother in the dessert: the temps are dropping there (depending on his location), so give him some well-meant advice on staying warm.

Thanks, Peter. I will send him your well wishes and let him know he should be grateful his package didn't get sent through Belgium. It would have arrived with nothing but granola bar wrappers. I assume drunk post office employees also enjoy snacking.

KASEY, IT TOOK ME 1/2 HOUR TO FIND THIS REPLY. I SENT KYLE A LETTER A WEEK AGO AND HE SHOULD GET IT BY XMAS. LOVE YOUR BLOG AUNT SHARON

That's some devotion to commenting! Thanks, Sharon!

Hope you'll keep coming back!

Attempting to send Kyle packages has caused me to hate the post office.
