WWKD?

Dear Kasey--I need your help. My wife is out of town and I am letting the dogs lick my plate clean after dinner. Do you think I should fess up? You see, if I ate something sticky, nothing beats a dog for that prewash prep. Then its like SWIPE SWIPE with a sponge and clean!

Oh my! Thank you for allowing me to offer up all of this helpful advice. It gives my life purpose. Ok. On with the advice.

There's nothing shameful about that. Absolutely nothing to fess up. If you are feeling that you need to clear your conscience of this, you can remind her that the Flintstone's had an octopus doing all of their dishes. If that's okay then I don't see what's wrong with your little friends getting an extra treat AND helping you out in the process. It's a win-win.

Much like me and my doling out of advice, this helps give the dogs a sense of purpose. Would you want to take that away?

Win win, YESSSSSSSSS! Wow, I hadn't realized my dogs needed a purpose like that. I wouldn't want their self-esteem to suffer or anything...

I think that advice will make Penny a very happy dog. Watch out, though, Gary.. if you let her do it now, she'll expect it when your better half returns, thus forcing you fess up.

Absolutely it's ok to slack all morning. It's ok to slack all afternoon if need be. The dog hair isn't going anywhere, it'll be there to clean up tomorrow.

True. And if I DID clean the floor today, the dogs would shed some more, and then tomorrow I would have to do it again anyway. Phhbbt. Forget it.
